Well, my yard is just under a meter (or a metre) -- 36 inches, to be precise. It's pretty linear, too.

HOWever! my back lawn (back garden) is a pretty good size, maybe a quarter acre or so. And the house is a decent size, considering that there is a full bath, kitchen, living-type room, and bedroom we don't even use. And the golf course out beyond the back fence enhances the prospects for fun 'n' games with the golfers.

Ergo, the 26 x 26 foot family room in the basement (which opens onto a patio) and the deck above off the dining room -- well, we could probably sleep twenty or thirty folks in sleeping bags where were friends with each other or willing to become so. Parking might be a problem, even with the RV pad and the circular driveway, but what the hey! that's what streets are for.
