This is only the second time that the real life subjects of our Song Challenges have come back with their real stories. It's almost eerie.

Welcome to the Mudcat Cafe, Kathy. I have to say that your real story is much more gruesome than I imagined, and it sounds like you and Nick are dealing with serious bureaucratic dementia in this case. What could be motiviating these poeple? Don't they have enough to do?

I hope you will forgive our making a Song Challenge up based on the news reports about poor Spreckles. Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from cryin', I guess.
