Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Recovery Ward
I am going into hospital this Thursday to get the metal plate taken out of my wrist. It did a good job during the slow healing process, but lately it has been causing major problems (see my post on 18/4 at 11.38am). It's only a day stay, and they will probably only do a block, not a general anaesthetic. In fact, I should be out in time to be at my folk club that night (with others helping me run it).

I will be a bit sore for a while though, so could you top up my Drambuie IV please? And I will need LOTS of nice fluffy pillows (I'm notorious for the number of pillows and cushions I take with me when sleeping away from home - some would call me the pillow queen!)

I hate hospitals with a passion - I find them very scary. I've known too many people who went in for something relatively minor, who suffered all sorts of complications, and in some cases never came out alive, so I will be glad when that is behind me.

The Mudcat Recovery Ward on the other hand, seems like a friendly comforting place, so I think I will spend a few days here.
