Yes, I too remember Fred (later renamed Freda when it was discoverd he was a she); Jason the stroppy siamese cat, who favoured Val's lap; Shep the dog who would insist on leaping up and never did walk the whole Penine Way; Petra and her son Patch, mourned with a public grief only outdone by the Princess of Wales.....

I remember George being introduced though.... I wasn't impressed... a walking meat pie that would never have the charisma and charm of Freda, with her white painted name on her shell.....
