Last year there were mixed reports about the festival campsites and how good they were ( sorry Malcolm but its true - thats me never working at Whitby again!) If you are happy with festival camping and porta showers you should be fine though. Malcolm also has a team of stewards to keep an eye on things.

Sandfield House is excellent if you have a caravan but unless you are aiming for Taxis home its quite a treck after a session - you can walk back along the promenade and then up a track to the site - can be muddy in wet weather though and you would need to book now to get a place as it is very busy - Raggytash knows more about the Stoupes Cross site than I   - you could PM him for info
