I found the following at a web site of unreleased Dylan songs. There were no lyrics, so it may be up to someone with one of the albums listed to write down the words. The Steve Howe web site claimed to have a portion or all of the song to listen to, but I could not get it to work on my old computer.

WELL WELL WELL Bob Dylan/Danny O'Keefe, 1996 N? Gil Walker - "While the song is credited to Dylan and Danny O'Keefe, it has only been released on Maria Muldaur's "Fanning The Flames" album (1996). The guy I heard about the song from is also a film/music critic for a local group of weekly newspapers; he told me he asked Maria about the song at a recent club appearance, and she told him, that, as far as she knew, no one else had released a version of the song. Where did she get it? She said she just called up Dylan one day and asked him if he had anything on hand she could put on her new record - so he sent it to her! Unfortunately, she didn't say (or John didn't ask) whether she got sheet music, a Dylan demo, or something else to work from." AF- Since Gil sent me this information, cover versions of WELL WELL WELL have also been released by David Lindley and Wally Ingram on their September 1998 album "Twango Bango Deluxe" (Topic Records) and by Steve Howe with P.P. Arnold as guest vocalist on his June 1999 album "Portraits Of Bob Dylan" (Eagle Records UK/Cleopatra Records US). It's now reported that on the demo tape the song is performed by co-writer Danny O'Keefe, not Bob, so there is no circulating Dylan version
