Five-year-old Michael today thought of sprinkling his open-face peanut butter sandwich with raw rolled oats. (Today we're using natural-style PB on heavy whole wheat bread; I don't think this taste would go with very light or white bread, nor dry peanut butter.) "It's good," he said, and it is, rather; I think I'll go on to experiment with grape nut type cereal or ground flax seed on PB. Our family likes a bowl of rolled oats, uncooked, any time of the day, with raisins, nuts, milk, water, fruit juice, frozen berries, or anything handy.
