Xena and her entourage of sweaty, muscle-bound neanderthals put on the best performance by several million light-years, and I confess that her gyrations gave rise to a gentle stirring and an agreeable warmth in me loins, but it was a shitty song in a long boring list of shitty songs. Why don't they scrap the whole charade and put two or three hours of folk music instead? (Don't answer that, I wuz just joshin', I know folk's not a majority interest and therefore doesn't exist as far as Auntie's concerned).

McGrath's got a good point about former enemies voting for one another, a thought which had occurred to me whilst the 'voting' was under way, but it just makes for farce and destroys any vestige of legitimacy the 'Contest' ever had.

But I'll bet I'm glued to it next year (LOL) :0) :0)
