Anyone ever met someone who pronounced "noone" as "noon" just because they came across it written that way? I suppose you might get a non-English speaker who had never met the word - but if they can work out that "one" isn't pronounced the way it looks like it should be from the spelling (ie, to sound like "own"), they are most of the way there anyway.
