M.Ted - what are the symptoms? I have a Tascam 4-track that I hadn't used in years. When I tried to record something, the tape wouldn't move. I opened it up and found a broken drive belt. I ordered one online and replaced it myself. Less than 20 bucks to repair a deck that cost 1,000 new. Of course, they're much cheaper now, but repairs aren't.
