My little bloke Tom's first word was "Dad".

He had said it once, but wouldn't say it again no matter how I coaxed him, so I gave up and went outside.

As soon as the door closed I heard "Dad dad dad dad dad dad..."

He has since become more eloquent but his spirit of co-operation hasn't changed.
