I'd actually heard several of Keith Marsden's songs before I heard Cockersdale -- mostly sung by Brit singers (such as Geoff Thompson from Sheffield) who happened to be in the States for awhile. Then Jeri (and Mudcat) introduced me to their CDs. And I've met Sam Pirt and finally made the connection with his dad.

But the group was primarily introduced to me by Jeri and Mudcat -- I don't hear them get much (any) airplay on folk shows in our vicinity.
