Keith used to delight in passing off his songs - particularly Bring Us a Barrel as traditional. There's a bit about this in Picking Sooty Blackberries - both the book and the show. Apparently he used to pretend that he'd collected them from Charlie Bloggins (I forget the name) who turned out to be one of his bank clerks!
