No Blackcatter, just that I don't feel a 5 day test series would suit the American market (which like it or not I do belive is further down the line of mass marketing than we are). There is of course some truth in other comments regarding attention spans which does even apply to our contry and we of course have one day, limited overs versions of cricket which are perhaps more appealing to more even over here than the test match.

As for food, sadly I can believe that but I think it is a shame. IMO, the traditional British roast for example with fresh vegatables etc. is an excellent meal. I did not mean to imply that all US food was "McDonalds" (or even that I would never eat at such a place) in case you read it that way - we've had many good food threads on the Annexe with some wonderful contributions from Americans!

As for our football supporters (and I am one, supporting Norwich City). It seems they are taking strong action now with reports of 2000+ known thugs being stopped from getting out of the country for our next match. It's a small minority but over the years, they have got us a reputation that I for one do not want...
