I was trying to avoid starting another thread because we have had so many about our Orwellian slide. The protocol here is that you don't just start a new thread out of laziness if there is a prior one that addresses the topic. The title of this thread seemed to indicate it was appropriate for the article about creeping Fascism. I didn't realize at the time that this was the snake pit piece on the internal standards of this forum.
