Miss Julia Daly was an actress, singer, dancer, and writer of several songs. She is mentioned as having performed many times at the Adelphi Theatre in London between 1859, 1860 and 1870.

Among the songs she wrote and/or performed were "Riddle Cum Dinke Doo," "On the Mountain High," "My Johnny Was a Shoemaker," "I Am Not the Wild Creature I Seem," "When a Little Farm We Keep," and "My Happy Home Far O'er the Sea."
