Thread Name: Review: Blues Project / SingerSongwriter Project
Subject: Review: Blues Project / SingerSongwriter Project
Back in 1965, Elektra released two historic collection albums some of us older Catters might remember. They were:

"The Blues Project",
"The Singer Songwriter Project", EKS7299

These were collections of performances by the best White Urban blues players and singer songwriters of the time, people like Danny Kalb, Dave Van Ronk and many others whose names I can't remember right now. Many of you will remember and might even have these albums.

I would LOVE to see these two albums reissued on CD. Wouldn't you? I have the Singer Songwriter one, but I only have a tape of the "Blues Project", my original album having been stolen years ago.

The question is: Who can we write to, to encourage them to get the rights from Elektra and reissue these two albums, as a single CD?

Meanwhile: If someone has the two albums and would like to burn a CD for me, please get in touch, via Mudcat email. I'm finally learning DVR's "Bad Dream Blues", from the Blues album, and it would be a big help to hear the original.

Thanx
