Have you tried talking to the guys from KHIDIR (Brisbane/Gold Coast-based), who do the wonderful Persian Sufi music and poetry - perhaps you've seen them at Woodford Folk Festival? Or at one of the Sacred Music Festivals in Brisbane? They have a website :
www.khezr.com and a lovely CD "Between the Known and the Unknown" ...
