Thread Name: Buffalo Brothers..Farewell..Finally.
Subject: RE: Buffalo Brothers..Farewell..Finally.
I passed on "Vera's" regards to Bill. He just burst out laughing which makes a change for Bill - he's usually a grumpy old bugger!!
They've cut the juggling with hedge trimmers out of the act - Whilst this might have been an interesting attention grabber it was felt that the safety risk was too much.

We had a cracking night with the pair of them - it wasn't as busy as it normally is because at least 11 people who would normally be there were on holiday or doing other things (maybe they'd heard I was doing the support) but there still plenty in. Got a couple of new songs out of them as well - listen out for them - they're belters.

We got a "banjo" tune out of Bill's S-Wave MIDI "concertina" which made the organiser cringe - he hates banjos - and concertinas - and melodeons. I can't think why he booked them. I think his comment at the committee meeting (as we run the club on a democratic basis - sort of) was "Can we book the singer and not have the concertina player" Only joking Jim - I'll play you a few songs on my banjo next time I see you!

The path from Lincolnshire to Lancashire is well trod by Bill and Dave and they're up here again in three weeks for the Chorley (Four Fools) folk festival.

Too much thread creep here - sorry

Cheers
Mark
