Hello there

I've only just discovered this forum so bear with me if I cock up my very first post.

It is enormously humbling to read so much good stuff about two scruffy Doncaster layabouts, who for not much more of a good reason than pure bone idleness and terminal apathy have decided to call it a day. Buffalo John has had some illness to deal with tis true, and on a couple of occasions we let the side down by missing a gig or two. We decided it would be far kinder to stop gigging altogether rather than let folks down.

Playing to really good enthusiastic people on two occasions over the last couple of weeks, Epworth and the Lonsdale, and receiving nothing short of generous praise has made me wonder why on earth we are calling it a day. The response has been incredible and I can honestly say it was totally unexpected.

I would like to thank everybody who came along to support our last couple of gigs, everybody who came up on stage to help us out, Michelle Andrews, Jon Chapman, Mark Dowding, Alan Nicoll, Liam Wilkinson and Howard Rowe and to everyone who has booked us and enyoyed our music over the past 10 years.

Buffalo John and Buffalo Allan are the best of mates and have been for over twenty years, and they continue to see one another regularly. Somehow, I can't really see this being the end...can you? I mean, who's gonna sing these songs if we don't?
