Sonnet 18/03/04                     DCCCXCIII

What good is mage who does not know his mind?
Can any good come of desires that fear
To be acted upon? Are my hopes blind,
To dwell on one so distant? Can dreams hear
Even the echo of her thoughts? I weep,
To think I have no purpose: Will I send
All of my heart, to find I cannot keep
Even my hopes alive? Is silence end?
It is not muse at fault, that I obsess
Over my dreams. She does not lead my heart
To think that I might change her life: Far less
Than smile would be enough to my dreams start.
Yet, I would not another muse desire:
She is the one to my passions inspire
