CarolC, when I saw your line it was an "aha!" moment--like Don I too am quite versed in the dialectics of Social Darwinism, and clearly the "survival of the fittest" idea (and who and what constitute "fit"?) is a logical use of this Darwin concept. I simply plugged the term into Google to see if it was one that had been around for a while. The outcome is the realization that it is viable, and that you're in good company.
