I couldn't get Zone Alarm to work properly, and I use Win2000 Pro. I dropped it when I realized the only way to send email was to "lower my shields" (disable Zone Alarm). I got Symantec's Firewall and it plays much better with the other programs. The best move was to put in the router. That catches or blocks a lot more of the junk coming through.
