Actually, truth be known, the Cold War was more like a tag team wrestling match and war of itrition... Reagan just happened to be in the right spot at the right time, just as Bill Clinton was oin the 90's when the economy was so good and where Carter was in the 70's when it wasn't. Fir the most part presidents get way too much credit or blame for stuff that happens under their watches unless they buck the system with radical ideas. Both the current Bush and Reagan fall into that radical category... That in itself doesn't make them bad, however, since FDR and LBJ are also in that ctaegory. What makes both this Bush and Reagan bad, IMO, is their disregard for the middle and lower class... And in Bush "The Currents" case, a huge appitite for holding power at any expense (think Iraq here...).
