I just ignore it, if you mean Association Football. I still get mildly interested in Rugby Football, but much less so now it's gone professional and therefore commercial.

No point going to festivals to avoid it - I go to festivals to dance, drink & sing (and make lemonade!) - not necessarily in that order of importance.

btw, St George, apparently, is the Patron Saint not only of England, but also (according to an item I heard on the radio the other day) of Portugal and, er, Germany!   I wonder if all these morons who fix the flag (and defaced versions of it) to their cars realise that!
