Alan has made several interesting CDs. He has been a prolific writer and fine singer for forty some years. He is known in particular as the founder and director of Fylde Festival, and of a blossoming Folk Arts network in the NW UK called Folkus.

Windmills has long been a regular at clubs in and around Fylde (a flat part of the UK).
