I had hoped it was only greed and stupidity.

Well, it is stupidity, and I've never been comfortable with the idea that it's all over oil, and I hear things like " But Iraq has lots of targets" and "Every once in a while the US has to grab some little country and slam it up against the wall on general principles" but I still hate to think it's only because we are led by bullies. but the thought does occur to me from time to time.
