I have no problem wih multi ( greater than 3-space) dimensional travel- but I had thought that this discussion was in relation to interstellar travel in 3-space. Possible, but ... Why?

Does it really matter whether they use 3D space, or slipping into another dimension to use as a short cut.

All that matters; is that Earth is being visited.
