Lovely song. I first heard it in the film "The Dead" which is based on the Joyce short story in which the song is integral to the plot. Unfortunately, I don't have any recording of it. If I remember correctly, the poor lass brings her illegitimate baby to the home of his wealthy father and is turned away. The only lyrics I remember: The rain falls on my locks, the dew wets my skin. My babe lies cold within my arms, but none will let me in.
