BillD, there's a good site for book collectors that has a page on how to value books - their general page is www.rarebooks.org and the appraisal page is here. You could perhaps find out what your British Poets are worth through them... (now why didn't I just phone you? - cause you can't do a blue clicky thing on the phone...)
