If you use Google and search for "Let the merry sunshine in" (in quotes) you'll get this. There are a couple of references to a song with that title, but that's all. The writers are both writing about children, and they both have a religious orientation. That's not much to go on, I know, but if you want to pursue it further, I suggest you look in old religious songbooks for children.
