Subject: Lyr Add: GHOST OF HANK WILLIAMS (Lloyd Snow)
A music buddy of mine sent me some cassettes of Hank Williams
Tribute songs (some very rare) he had collected through the years...

THE GHOST OF HANK WILLIAMS
As recorded by: Lloyd Snow

[D]I was asked one [G] time to [D] go
And hold a [G] one-man [D] show
I went knowing I was not that good [A/E/A]
When the [D] time came [G] I was [D] scared
Then Hank Williams [G] ghost ap-[D]-peared
And walked across the [A] stage to where I [D] stood.

He said "boy, I'm with you
In every song of mine you do
And no one but yourself knows that I'm here."
Then we sang 'You Win Again'
And 'I'm Sorry For You My Friend'
DUET: Our voices rang as one so loud and clear.

SPOKEN:
I didn't have to turn my head
To hear the next words that Hank said
"Let's sing together - 'First Fall Of Snow'."
SUNG:
And we sang it just as sad
As on the record of him I had
SPOKEN:
Then he touched my arm and said he had to go.

Then the people stood and cheered
As Hank's spirit disappeared
That night will live with me forever more.
