This is a song I used to love as a child. My dad still tries to get me to sing it, as it brings back good memories for all of us of long autumn drives and pumpkin shopping. The goldenrod is yellow
The corn is turning brown
The trees in apple orchard
With fruit are bending down
By all these lovely tokens
September days are here...
And then I forget. Anyone know the rest? I think I learned it in music class in first grade. My dad and step mom made us sing it in the car. They thought it was very strange that we knew a "fall song".
I love the fall. Something about it just makes me so happy. I'm afraid I may be too busy walking around the woods at the Getaway and ogling the nature to go to workshops. I'm so excited to get out of the city!
