Thread Name: Jingles you remember.
Subject: RE: Jingles you remember.
And the memories continue! I actually went to Freedomland when I was a lad (I was 10 for most of 1960.) I think I remember an "attraction" called "The Casa Loca", within which water seemed to flow uphill (there is a similar place today at Idlewild amusement park in Pennsylvania, called "Confusion Hill".) I seem to remember that when Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev visited the USA, he requested permission to visit Disneyland, which was denied. But (once again, as I recall) he was given permission to visit Freedomland. I don't know if this recollection is true, or if Mr. Khrushchev actually visited Freedomland.

It isn't a jingle, but the reference to "The series of Heinz beans ads with the young lad in it" reminded me of the ad campaign featuring "H.J. and Heinz, the almost human beans".

To keep things on topic, here is another jingle:

They said it couldn't be done
They said nobody could do it
but L&M is low in tar
with more taste to it.
L ... and M
don't settle for any other
low tar
more taste
don't settle for one ...
without the other.

Does anyone remember the old Chesterfield jingle ("...stops and takes big pleasure when and where he can. Cheeesssssss...ter fieeeeld!)?
