Hi Don. As a former Dean supporter, let me just pipe in here. The Caucus and primary season, before the nomination was clinched, was the proper time for one candidate's supporters to hype their man and tear down the other guy. It is the ability to withstand this that signals that a candidate can go the distance. Kerry would be a weaker candidate today if he hadn't weathered that trial. Also, Kerry's folks certainly did the same thing to Dean whenever I was looking.

Now, it's counter-productive to snipe at Kerry from the left. Dean always, always asked his supporters to transfer their allegiance to the Democratic nominee, whoever that turned out to be.
