I note that the original message said that the song was "pre-war" -- it's a song written by concentration camp survivors in Nazi Germany. I guess it's "pre-war" in the sense that it was written in the earlier type of labour camp (from which people were indeed sometimes released) rather than the later death camps.I used to know the German words ("Wir sind die Moorsoldaten..."), but I've forgotten them. I'm very partial to the Home Service recording of the song.
