Our very own Georiansilver is probably heading for Ben Nevis right now. You might not think that is particularly barmy, but since Friday morning he has "done" Snowdon (North Wales), Carrantouhill (Irish Republic) and Slieve Donard (Ulster) and has Scafell Pike still to do. This is the Five Peaks Challenge, (the highest points in each bit of the British Isles). He has taken nine youngsters to do the actual walking while he drives the mini-bus and cooks the food. They will have walked 37 miles with 15,495 feet of ascent by the time they come home and raised a fair bit of money for the St John Ambulance and for their own drop-in centre which does a lot of good work with the young people of Gainsborough.
