Wow! We lived right there for some time. Great memories. Amazing Mexican food, of course (Consuela's) and two of my all-time favorite food memories:

Steamed clams with sourdough bread to sop up the juice and butter at Quigg's, oceanside, watching the sun go down over the ocean.

Thanksgiving dinner on Ocean Beach, where you could cook over a fire, but our 'turkey' was in a bottle.

Don't miss the dog beach there, if they still have one!

It's the perfect place for you two, I think.
