More Australians know THE PUB WITH NO BEER than (?) the National Anthem. The DT is missing the tune.
A couple of decades ago the Australian Folk publication 'Singabout' published a parody known as 'The Pub With No Dyke'. As I recall this drew several stern letters to the Editor questioning its inclusion in a serious folk mag. I hope that Bob Bolton may be able to come up with the complete words please.
I'll tell you a story that happened to me,
A new pub was opened and the beer was on free
I'd had several drinks and was full of mad talk
But me bladder was bursting so I went for a walk.
There were blokes going out there blokes coming in,
And the racket they made was one hell of a din,
I spoke to an plonko we all know as Mike
