Sorry but you have it all wrong.

The radio program is public domain because it's on a non-profit station. There is no need for liscening agreements when one tapes a radio program while it is broadcast to the general public.

The donation is for shipping and handling of the tape only, not for the content of the tape. RA made it crystal clear that this is a gift, not a sale.

Here they are doing a public service and what do they get but hubris from the very people who could be a household name thanks to their labor!! I'm simply shocked.

In this vein, are you all having that Woody Guthrie Birthday Bash IV are you going to pay royalties to the estate of Woody Guthrie?

Who gets the money you are making on that event anyway?
