Guest, if you reckon Moore was a real fan of Clinton, I suggest you check out his books. "Stupid White Men", whilst concerned with how incompetent and corrupt George Bush's administration is, also has some *very* harsh criticism of the Democrats, particularly Clinton. Moore's line is that the change from Clinton to Bush was pretty much "business as usual" - under Clinton, corporations had already got started on a lot of what they perfected under Bush.

Moore's quite plain about why he didn't include as much criticism of the Democrats in this film: it would have distracted from the main thrust of the message, which is that GWB is a threat to the US and to the world. Had he been saying "GWB's bad, so go vote for Kerry" then you could legitimately say that this is just another bit of propaganda, but the focus is purely to bring Bush to account for his actions. Who comes after is a question for the US voters.

"The only candidates expressing any interest in furthering my, my family's and my community's needs, are Nader and David Cobb." Great - you've found candidates to support. By voting for them you're supporting people who uphold the same principles as you. They may not get elected, but that's called democracy, last time I looked.

Graham.
