Any slice of time you look at real closely can look just like those prophecies. Not to worry about which slice is THE slice, though. The good news is, the principles for living are not time-specific. The bad news? Ya still gotta figgger 'em out for yourself and then actually try to LIVE them.

So never mind the temptation to hysteria-- assume you had forever, available to you: What would you like to be doing, that you know would be a good thing to do, that you aren't doing? Do it! :~)
