Folks are "misguided" to A Certain Element only until that Element is mugged, robbed, raped, or otherwise personally involved.

Some years back our front door was kicked in and my wife's purse taken. Cost us a bunch to get the door fixed, and that was WITH the insurance. We were able, by that midnight, to have reported the theft to all the credit card companies, etc. etc.

Now, after such a thing you're supposed to feel violated and used. Neither of us did -- we were ALMIGHTLY pissed off, however.
