I'll second that.

Why would anyone fill in a groundhog hole? What's the problem with a groundhog hole? It's a less than 1 square foot natural looking feature in a piece of ground, for heaven's sake. People put up buildings that take up several thousand square feet and then they complain about a groundhog hole?

The groundhog has the decency to have a dwelling that is 99% underground and unseen, thus minimizing interference with others. Pity people couldn't be similarly inclined.

Indians never filled in ground hog holes, because to do so is a complete waste of time. (Of course, they did eat the groundhogs...)
