The best place to look for anything in the open-source category is probably SourceForge.net. Start with the Software Map button at the top of the page then select Multimedia then Sound/Audio then MIDI. Finally, where it says Search within current and filtered Trove categories:, enter “Linux” and there will be a list of related software with links to the home pages.
