I walked down the Sunset Strip with a navy buddy, and all
the supermarket signs had specials on bananas; I've always
wondered which was the primary point of the hoax: was it a., to see how many moronic hippies would really try it, or B., to see how many
clueless reactionaries would take it seriously and panic? Or both?
