I look through the window at a storm getting near
There's often a blizzard this time of the year
Tomorrow it's Christmas, there's nowhere to go
Are there more stars than snowflakes? I guess I don't know.

A woman is riding alone in the storm
She sees the light shining and rides where it's warm
I open the door and I shout out 'Hello,
Are there more stars than snowflakes?' She yells I don't know

Come in for some coffee and stop for a while
I take her coat and she says with a smile
'I'll give you the answer you're wanting to know
Are there more stars than snowflakes? And then I must go'

We look through the window at a storm getting near
I ask the same question this time every year
She says she will answer and then she must go
Are there more stars than snowflakes? But she never does know.
