Not trolling or flaming here, just puzzled. Why do Americans constantly spend vast sums of money on, and get so excited about, their presidential elections, only to then elect Presidents who are deemed to be dangerous arseholes? In recent threads we've been told that Nixon, Reagan, Clinton, Bush and Baby Bush all were/are dangerous arseholes. Why, then, were they elected? Why not elect the other guy?

Just seems odd to me - voting for a dangerous arsehole! :0)
