An old recording of a Cumberland bloke singing Wild Rover led MH to say that he must have learned it from an Irishman. Had he read the relevant Mudcat thread he would know that Ireland need not be invoked for that one.
I loved the mad yelping and barking that acccompanied hunting songs. I must try that next time someone in our circle does one.
