A little calm is needed here, folks. And a little reason. While I dislike the GUEST posts, this position is not incorrect. The analogy of the corner store was a correct analogy.

I would prefer folks not copy my CD, but due to the great example of Seamus, I see a better way.

The point of the GUEST post is that it is not your call on the copy. You may give yours away, but you may not burn it and give it away. That is stealing. I, on the other hand, can give my work away IF I CHOOSE. And I choose to do this to help out someone who is a victim.

Those who have no investment in the matter find it easy to call others grudging bastards. My suspicion is that most artists would be happy to help someone who has been victimized. But they don't want to be victimized themselves in doing it.
